The student group the "Tipsy Team" is one of the best parts of our games. They do their research on opposing teams and heckle them without mercy. More than one opposing team has whined and complained about their barrage of one-liners at the visiting bench. They tailgate before the games and often wear funny costumes in the stands.
We had a big home win against conference rival Western Illinois, putting us at 2-1 in conference play. We have been playing much better of late and we were led this game by Davis Baker who had 20 points and Geoff Payne with 19.
You have heard booing and seen waving arms, but have you ever had to deal with a goose? The famous goose man of the Centrum Arena is a favorite of our students and a huge annoyance to opposing teams. He doesn't flip the bird, he gives 'em the goose!
